Pricing Matrix Configuration
I. Overview
The Pricing Matrix Configuration feature is used to manage carrier pricing matrix data — the input for freight calculation, including scope of application, conditions, base freight unit rates, and surcharges. Once the transport plan is created and the details of each trip are determined, the Pricing Engine uses these configurations to automatically calculate the corresponding transport cost for each trip.
Multiple freight calculation methods are supported: per trip, distance, weight, volume, delivery stop, vehicle type, surcharges, etc. The Pricing Engine automatically applies the correct pricing matrix once order optimization is complete. This ensures consistent pricing results, reduces manual calculation, and supports reconciliation and payment.
